Seiko Prospex Collection/ Sea: Save The Sea Series
Japanese Automatic Watch With A Blue Silicone Strap, 41.3mm Stainless Steel Case With An Unidirectional Rotating Bezel, Blue Coloured Dial & Date Window.

Limited edition of 1,300 pieces

The design shape is inspired by Seiko's 1965 Divers watch Japan's first ever Japanese 150m Diving watch, worn by members of the Japanese Antarctic Expedition from 1966 until 1969. This watch combines the past and future taking Seikos important heritage of divers watches with inspiration from underwater archaeology; whilst focusing on preserving cultural history for future generations, as part of the Save the Ocean initiative.

This watch is powered by the in-house Automatic 8L35 calibre movement, designed specifically for divers watches with its accuracy and durability, manufactured and hand-finished in the Seiko Watch Corporation's Shizukuishi Watch Studio.Inspired by the ancient Astrolabe an instrument once used to show the positions of the sun and stars to measure latitude and time - the striking underwater blue cross-line design with lumibrite indices on the dial are complemented by the Zaratsu-polished rotating bezel, curved sapphire glass and a deep blue silicone strap.

Each watch is sold with a limited edition special box. Prospex is a combination of the words Professional and Specifications. These timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable within extreme or everyday environments, for experts, sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.Since launching Japans first divers watch in 1965, Seikos innovative watchmaking has changed global dive watch standards.

Save The Sea Editions
The Prospex mission: to help protect the world’s oceans now and for future generations, and to secure this legacy for divers everywhere. Seiko Prospex supports various marine conservation activities through its "Save the Ocean" initiative.

Seiko's reputation for reliable and durable diver's watches was forged in the 1960's and 1970's when they were chosen by adventurers and researchers on expeditions to the north and south poles. Today, Seiko introduces into the Prospex collection modern re-interpretations of three legendary diver's watches from this period that draw their design inspiration from the glaciers that these pioneers saw and that shape the landscapes and seascapes of the Arctic and Antarctic. Each one has a dial that evokes a different shade of glacial ice, from deep blue to white.
