Frédérique Constant is a Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1988 by Dutch couple Aletta and Peter Stas. The brand was created with the vision of producing high-quality Swiss watches that are accessible, combining classic design with refined craftsmanship. 

In 1994, Frédérique Constant launched its first Heart Beat design, featuring an aperture on the dial at 12 o'clock to show the heart of its mechanical movement. The Heart Beat aperture will later become the Brand’s signature.

In 1994, they introduced the first Heart Beat design, featuring a signature aperture on the dial at 12 o'clock, revealing the mechanical movement. This became a brand icon. A major milestone was achieved in 2004 with the release of the first in-house movement, the FC-910, which included the Heart Beat opening at 6 o’clock.

In 2015, Frédérique Constant made headlines with the launch of the Horological Smartwatch, the first Swiss-made smartwatch that combined traditional design with modern smart features. A year later, the company became part of the Citizen Group, which allowed it to expand its innovation and reach.

We are pleased to present this pre-owned Frederique Constant Slimline wristwatch, reference FC-220S5S6, dated from 2016. Powered by a quartz movement, caliber FC-220, it features 8 jewels, a central second hand, and a quick-set date indicator. Swiss made.

The watch is housed in a 39mm stainless steel case with classic lugs, water-resistant up to 3 ATM (30 meters / 100 feet), and has a sapphire crystal and original crown.

The silver dial is detailed with stick markers, silver hands, and a date display at 3 o'clock. It comes with the original black crococalf strap, signed buckle, double box, and papers.

It is a handsome and reliable wristwatch!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have pertaining to size. 

We prefer to shoot photographs outside when weather is permitting. However, when we shoot indoors, please be aware that we shoot our photographs inside of lightboxes that are lit with 360 LED bulbs. This indeed magnifies any flaws. Usually, they are much less obvious to the naked eye. Having said that, we never photoshop any of our photography, remove blemishes, etc. We adjust the lighting, when necessary, but what you see is what you are getting, and we take pride in that.

The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear but is fully operational and functions as intended.
